We continue the series of interviews with foreign citizens studying at the Academy of Public Administration. This time we spoke to Akbarjon Khakdodov – a third year student fr om Tajikistan pursuing his diploma in Information Resources Management. In the interview, Akbarjon Khakdodov told about his reasons for choosing our Academy, the team spirit, and his expectations of the study process.

Becoming a student of the Academy of Public Administration

I chose the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus as the place to receive higher education on the advice of my friends. They praised the high level of knowledge one can obtain here for a future profession. Also, I myself have heard many positive reviews about this educational institution; that the diploma of the Academy is valued not only in Belarus, but abroad. The Academy of Public Administration offers one of the most promising specialities – Information Resource Management. It is extremely relevant and in demand today, and is also distinguished by its uniqueness and versatility in comparison with other specialities. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that training is based on integrated knowledge from the areas of management, economics, mathematical modeling and information technology. The Academy of Public Administration provides the necessary knowledge in the field of management and emphasises that today, in the 21st century, education accompanies a person through his entire life. All these also conditioned my choice.

The study process fully comes up to my expectations. It is built to meet the individual requirements and abilities of students, while focusing on those who strive to achieve high results, want to constantly develop, go forward with new ideas and realize their potential. I believe that at the Academy of Public Administration you can get an excellent start for your future career. I would like to express words of gratitude to the teachers who are interested in giving us high-quality knowledge. From the very first days of studying at the Academy, every student becomes an irreplaceable and important part of the team. They are always ready to help in a difficult situation, and assist in solving any problems. I like the way the relationships among students and teachers are built: respect for each other comes first, which helps to avoid barriers in communication, and makes it easier to interact in the process of learning. The Academy can be compared to a small town, which has its own space, own holidays and rules, and a really active student life helps many to realize themselves creatively, to apply their strengths for the good cause. In addition, here you can get a large number of useful acquaintances and build life-long friendships.

I like Belarus. It is a hospitable and beautiful country, wh ere very friendly and helpful people live. I did not have any difficulties adapting to living here; on the contrary, I feel like being a large and friendly family.

Giving advice to those wishing to study in Belarus

If possible, you should definitely try to get enrolled in a higher education institution abroad. It is very exciting to try something new, to get acquainted with a new culture. I am sure that the years of study will be happy, and the education received will be a reliable foundation for future professional growth.
