HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of State Economic Policy was organized on September 2, 2019 as a result of the division of the Department of State Construction and Management. Since December 2019, the department has been headed by Vladislav Aleksandrovich Shchepov, PhD in Economics and Associate Professor.
OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT
The department is a structural educational and scientific subdivision of the Institute of Civil Service of the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus. The activities of the department are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the Charter of the Academy of Management, The Institute Regulations and the Department Regulations are aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the field of state economic policy.
THE MAIN TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT ARE:
– organization and implementation of educational and scientific-methodical work on the academic disciplines of the department;
– implementation of the educational and upbringing process;
– organization and implementation of scientific research;
– training of scientific and teaching staff, improving their qualifications.
MAIN AREAS OF WORK OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The department staff carries out educational, methodological, research, ideological and educational work, ensuring educational activities in the implementation of educational programs for training, retraining, and advanced training.
The department trains students in the specialty of additional education (retraining of executives and specialists) Public administration of the national economy.
The mission of the department – is to prepare highly professional, competitive specialists for government and administrative bodies, possessing the necessary systemic competencies to solve political, social, economic problems of the current and future periods, focusing on the strategic goals of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus.

The department employs 8 full-time teachers and 6 part-time workers, including 4 doctors of science and 7 candidates of science.
