HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The academy was established on September 2, 2019 by merging the departments of Philosophical Sciences and Ideological Work and Public Administration of the Social Sphere and Belarusian Studies. It is a graduate department at the Institute of Civil Service in the specialties of "Public Administration and Ideology" and "Public Administration of the Social Sphere", and also provides training for postgraduate and doctoral students in sociological and political sciences.
The department organizes classes in 30 disciplines, including: “Ideology of the Belarusian state”, “History and ideology of Belarusian statehood”, “Political parties and modern electoral technologies”, “Sociology of management and public service”, "Modern technologies for managing healthcare, culture, and education", "Social dialogue and social partnership in public administration", "Modern social processes", "Managing change and innovation in the social sphere", etc.
The academic disciplines assigned to the department are aimed at developing students’ knowledge in the field of theoretical and methodological foun
dations of the social state and social policy, the ideology of the Belarusian state and ideological work, scientific worldview, patriotism and moral qualities of the individual.
For all disciplines of the department, electronic educational and methodological complexes have been developed, the content of which corresponds to the curricula and educational standards for training specialists, which reflect the modern level of development of socio-humanitarian knowledge, the dialectic of social development. The department's teachers widely use innovative educational technologies in the educational process, including distance learning methods, situational modeling, as well as case studies, business games, and Internet resources. Particular attention is paid to individual work with students. In the process of preparing students' diploma theses, the emphasis is on their practical orientation.
OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The mission of the department – is to develop professional competencies in students for the effective management of the social and spiritual-ideological sphere of society.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT ARE:

organization and implementation of educational and scientific-methodological work on academic disciplines assigned to the department;
- implementation of educational and upbringing processes;
- organization and implementation of scientific research on problems of the social and spiritual-ideological sphere of society's life;
- training of scientific and teaching staff, improving their qualifications.
To solve these problems, the department performs the following functions:

conducting training sessions with students, postgraduates and applicants;

organization of independent work of students;

conducting ongoing certification;

organization of research work of students, postgraduates, doctoral students and applicants;

improving the content of academic disciplines and teaching methods of academic disciplines assigned to the department;

holding scientific and methodological seminars, meetings, conferences and other events aimed at improving the pedagogical skills of the faculty of the department;

-
study, generalization and dissemination of advanced pedagogical experience;

conducting scientific research on problems of the social and spiritual-ideological sphere of society's life;

-
discussion of completed research works and issuance of recommendations for the publication of these works;

review of dissertations submitted for defense by members of the department or other applicants on behalf of the management of the Academy of Management;

-
implementation of decisions and recommendations developed by the Academy of Management and organizations providing scientific and methodological support for education;

-
ensuring interim monitoring of the implementation of individual work plans of postgraduate students at least twice a semester, carried out within the framework of ongoing monitoring, the results of which are reflected in the individual work plans of postgraduate students;

acquisition by students, postgraduates, doctoral students and applicants of special knowledge and skills (professional competencies), the ability to apply the acquired knowledge and skills for the practical solution of professional problems;

implementation of the professional component;

coordination of interdisciplinary relations;

implementation of organizational measures for conducting final certification of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students and applicants upon completion of mastering the content of educational programs;

participation in the organization and work of state examination commissions;

organization of educational and industrial practices and internships, implementation of their scientific and methodological guidance;

-
-
interaction with base organizations and organizations - customers of personnel;

analysis of the effectiveness of processes (activities) and development of proposals for improving the educational process;

comprehensive interaction with other departments of the Academy of Management, universities of the Republic of Belarus, near and far abroad with the aim of exchanging innovative educational technologies, new forms of organizing the educational, cognitive and scientific activities of students.

The educational and scientific work of the department is aimed at improving teaching technologies, preparing educational publications, and conducting relevant scientific research.
