Head of the Department – Пономарева Марина Авинировна, PhD (Psychology), Associate Professor
The Department of Personnel Policy and Management Psychology (before September 2, 2019 – the Department of Management Psychology) was created by the decision of the Council of the Academy on July 24, 1997.
The activities of the Department are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the Charter of the Academy of Public Administration, the Regulations on the Institute of Civil Service and are aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the field of human resource management.
The Department of Personnel Policy and Management Psychology provides programs of graduate education and retraining in the specialities 1-26 01 83 Personnel Policy in Government Bodies and Organizations, and 1-26 01 76 Personnel Management at the Institute of Civil Service.
Department Tasks and Main Directions of Activities
The Department of Personnel Policy and Management Psychology aims to equip graduates with knowledge, skills, and competencies in the field of psychology for making managerial decisions.
The Department carries out activities in the following directions:
• scientific and methodological support and organization of teaching psychological and pedagogical educational disciplines for students undergoing retraining and advanced training at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus;
• conducting research in the field of personnel policy and management psychology;
• training postgraduates and applicants in "Developmental Psychology and Acmeology" and "Labor Psychology, Engineering Psychology and Ergonomics";
• training of students in the speciality of retraining 1-26 01 76 – Personnel Management;
• training of students in the specialty of retraining 1-26 01 83 – Personnel policy in government bodies and organizations;
• organizing and holding a regular seminar for young scientists "Methodology and methods of psychological research";
• organizing and holding the republican scientific and practical seminar "Modern psychological technologies in the selection and selection of personnel";
• conducting psychological training for youth leaders of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

Scientific Activities
The scientific work of the Department is aimed at ensuring excellence of the educational process and is carried out in the 2021/2022 academic year within the framework of the research theme "Psychological support of the professional health of a leader as a condition for effective management."

• Personnel security (Кивайко Владимир Николаевич, PhD (Psychology), Associate Professor);
• Professional culture of a modern leader (Попко Ольга Николаевна PhD (History), Associate Professor);
• Technologies for the development of professional and personal competence of personnel (Пыжова Наталия Николаевна, PhD (Psychology), Associate Professor);
• The communicative component of the leader's activity: theory and practice (Волох Наталья Валерьевна, Senior Lecturer, Master of Public Administration);
• Psychological stability of managers with different levels of successful activity (Малостева Татьяна Николаевна, Senior Lecturer, Master of Public Administration).
The Department also offers psychological counseling services at its Psychological Counselling Center. The activities of the Psychological Center are carried out in the following areas:
