Dzianis Duk

Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor.

Date and place of birth: May 29^th, 1977, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk region.

In 1999, D. Duk graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the State University of Polotsk (major “History”, qualification “Instructor of History, Historian”).

Professional experience: a university instructor.

From 2000 to 2005, D. Duk worked as an assistant, then senior lecturer of the Department of History and Sociology of the State University of Polotsk.

In 2005, D. Duk was promoted to the position of the Head of the Department of National and World History of the State University of Polotsk.

In 2003, D. Duk defended his thesis for a Candidate Degree in Historical Sciences (specialty: 07.00.06 Archeology) on the topic “The Material Culture of the Population of Polotsk in 16–18 centuries (based on archeological sources)”.

In 2006, D. Duk awarded the title of Associate Professor (specialty: History).

In 2011, D. Duk defended his thesis for a Doctoral Degree in Historical Sciences (specialty: 07.00.06 Archeology) on the topic “Polotsk in the XI–ХVІІІ centuries: genesis, shaping and development (based on archeological and written sources)” (the Institute of History of the National Academy of Science of Belarus).

In 2014, D. Duk was awarded the title of Full Professor (specialty: Archeology).

From 2013 to 2017, D. Duk worked as the Vice Rector on the Academic Affairs of the State University of Polotsk.

From 2017 to 2025, D. Duk was the Rector of the Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University.

From October 13^th, 2025, D. Duk is the Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Chairman of the Academic Methodological Association on Education in the Sphere of Management;

Chairman of the Academic Methodological Association on Education in the Sphere of Further Education of Adults;

Chief Editor of Research and Practice Journal “Management Issues”;

Chief Editor of edited scientific volume “Scholarly Publications of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus”.
