On January 29th, 2011 Academy’s 20th Anniversary was celebrated. On this occasion a stately assembly was held where the institution’s achievements were highlighted and the awards ceremony took place. Winners in the nominations “Teacher of the Year”, “Scientist of the Year”, “Young Scientist of the Year”, “Science’s Hope – Student of the Year” received their prizes. Academy’s alumni, government officials, diplomatic representatives, teachers and students took part in the festive event.

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksander Lukashenko Spoke with a Lecture “State Personnel Policy at the Present Stage” before Academy’s students and faculty on September 24th, 2010. Mr. President answered numerous questions posed by students who were interested in a great variety of issues ranging from economic and political perspectives of the country’s development to those on private life of Head of State. In memory of his visit Aleksander Lukashenko left an entry in the Academy’s Guestbook.

On February, 23rd the Academy held special events on the occasion of the country’s national holiday – the Day of Motherland Defenders and Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. The session of the Council of Institute of Civil Service took place in the Museum of Great Patriotic War that time. A festive meeting was held at Research Institute for Theory and Practice of Public Administration. A lot of teachers and students, heads of Institute of Managerial Personnel, representatives from the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, student trade union, Students’ Council celebrated the holiday at the concert. Musical presents had been prepared by a singing studio of the Artistic Lab of the Academy’s Centre for Educational Work and Youth Initiatives. Warm-hearted words and wishes were said to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, reserve officers and all those who each day prove to be real defenders.

On January, 29th the Academy celebrated its 19th Birthday. A festive meeting took place where the institution’s work results and achievements of 2009 were summed up. The best of the staff received certificates of praise and appreciation. The winners of the Academy’s contests “Science’s Hope – Student of the Year”, “Young Scientist of the Year”, “Scientist of the Year”, “Teacher of the Year” (best professor, best associate professor, best teacher) were announced during the event. Academy’s alumni, representatives from state authorities and organisations also participated in the festive celebration.
