Pending Issues of HR Policies Discussed at Academy

The Academy hosted a workshop on pending issues of HR policies. The event was initiated by the Department for Theory and Practice of Public Administration of the Academy’s Institute of Civil Service.

Chief of the HR Department of the Belarusian Telecommunications Network Ms Elena Stelmakh spoke with a report to the in-service students majoring in public and local administration. Associate Professor of the Department for Theory and Practice of Public Administration Mr Viktor Germanchuk also made a statement in which he observed: “State HR and personnel policies are mainstreamed in every country and regardless of their economic status all national enterprises and businesses should follow common legal regulations. At the same time each Belarusian company has its own unique mission to be successfully accomplished. That is why representatives of public administration authorities who are taking study courses at the Academy are highly recommended to learn some interesting facts about personnel management practices of private businesses”.

Belarusian Telecommunications Network is a member of the international group of companies “Turkcell Group”. Ms Stelmakh highlighted major principles and approaches of BTN’s personnel policies. A special focus was made on headhunting practices, staff recruitment regulations, responsibilities of department directors and adaptation support for the newly hired employees.

Audience’s feedback during the discussion helped to learn more about real-life personnel practices and delve deeper into this highly relevant issue.
