
On July, 12th the Academy hosted opening of the annual seminar for heads of foreign missions in the Republic of Belarus. Main activity directions of foreign missions in the modern period will be the seminar’s main topic for discussion. During the four days of the seminar heads of the country’s ministries, agencies and major state bodies will hold meetings, panel discussions and group workshops for heads of foreign missions in the Republic of Belarus.
Welcoming seminar’s participants Academy’s Rector Anatoly Morozevich marked special relevance of such training and underlined that heads of foreign missions present at the seminar were given a unique opportunity to upgrade the knowledge they possess and then use it most effectively in their further work.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Martynov noted in his speech that besides conferences and direct work a greater number of efficient meetings between heads of foreign missions and MFA’s division chiefs should be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also observed that the present-day situation places before the state and division chiefs objectives of particular importance and therefore opportunities of such education held at the Academy and the Ministry should be used to their utmost.
In the framework of the seminar it is planned to discuss main directions of the state economic policy including innovations and development of Belarus’ industrial potential. Heads of foreign missions in Belarus will have an opportunity to study thoroughly issues of development of the country’s transit potential and also get acquainted with privatization processes in the Republic of Belarus.
