Every Third Student Graduated from the Academy with Honours

On May 21st the Academy’s Institute of Civil Service held a graduation ceremony of its external in-service students who completed their studies at the Faculty of Re-Training. 427 students received diplomas among which 167 were cum laude.

At the festive ceremony held at the Palace of the Republic graduating students majoring in “Public and Local Administration”, “International Relations”, “International Marketing”, “Public Information Resources Management”, “Economics and Management at Industry Enterprises” were given their education certificates.

Director of the Institute of Civil Service Mr. Nikolay Shchyokin noted that a huge percentage of in-service students were promoted to new job positions during their studies – one person took up a post at the President’s Office, several people became chairmen of regional executive committees, a few took places of chairmen of local councils. “We see promotion of our in-service students and how they put into practice the knowledge they acquired at the Academy” – said Mr. Shchyokin.

Since the Academy’s foundation more than 70 thousand students and in-service students have been educated here. Among the Academy’s alumni there are a lot of people well known around the country – high-rank executives, CEOs, heads of different organisations and institutions, those who take care of effective functioning and development of economics, social and religious spheres, who represent Belarus in the international arena.
