On May 25th students studying Spanish at the Academy’s Institute of Managerial Personnel visited Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus. The event was organised with the support of the Centre for International Cooperation and Educational Programmes.
Embassy’s Second Secretary Ms. Maria Elena Rojas Rogobienko introduced the students to the activities of the diplomatic mission and work of the consular department. Besides that, executives-to-be met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Americo Dias Nunes. Mr. Ambassador spoke about cooperation development between Belarus and Venezuela in the sphere of economics and culture, he also talked to the students about the history of Ink and Aztec ancient civilisations.
During the talk the event’s participants discussed issues of cooperation activities between the Embassy and the Academy in the coming school year and in particular activities of the Friendship Society “Belarus-Venezuela” chaired by the Academy’s Rector Mr. Anatoly Morozevich. The possibility of organising a series of joint seminars and Spanish movie nights was also talked over.
Head of the diplomatic mission called on the Academy’s students to take part in the activities of the Latin American Cultural Centre. In conclusion he observed that “the youth owns the future of the planet and they are to decide what it will be”.
